Desert TRAX began as a passion project in the 1990s, born from a young family’s weekend adventures into Namibia’s untamed wilderness.

Those early escapes into nature laid the groundwork for a legacy of exploration, now carried forward by the next generation.

Today, the children who once explored the dunes as toddlers have made the wild their way of life.

Balancing demanding professional lives with a deep connection to their roots, they find solace and inspiration in Namibia’s remote, uncharted landscapes.

What started as intimate family trips grew as friends, and friends of friends, sought to join these soul-stirring journeys.

This inspired the revival of Desert TRAX, originally a hospitality venture founded by the family in the 1990s.

Reimagined by their grown children, Desert TRAX is now a platform to share Namibia’s wild beauty with adventurers worldwide.
